This retreat is designed to not only introduce married couples to John Paul II's theology of the body and concepts such as the nuptial meaning of the body, sincere gift of self, and a sacramental view of reality, but it is also packed with insights into the nature of man and woman. Katrina Zeno focuses particularly on the unique way that women and men make a different gift of self. Drawing on "The Role of the Christian Family in the Modern World", she then shows not only how the Eucharist reveals a deeper meaning and purpose to marital union, but how both the married couple and the family as a whole are called to communion and to image the love of the Trinity in the world.
